Scent Characteristics: The perfect gift for the book-lovers among you who prefer a less floral fragrance. Capturing the essence of academia this quirky fragrance is an illusion of dried rose, rosemary, marigold, hyacinth, narcissi, violet, saffron and thyme which lingers between lofty bookcases of dusty oak, home to leather-bound books of hand-inked literary and scientific studies.

Directions for Use:
There's an art to burning great candles as well as making them and its initial burn is the most important. It's recommended that it should form a full surface melt-pool, which can take 2-3 hours for larger candles. This will result in an even burning candle and avoid what is known as 'tunnelling', where wax collects around the sides.
All candles are handmade in small batches using the finest quality ingredients.
Soy wax is a natural product that can sometimes create a slightly uneven surface after burning, all part of the charm and this does not in any way affect the performance of the candle.
The candle lid (amber jars only) can also be used as an effective candle snuffer.
